Penny’s Pieathlon is a unique event that promotes Fun, Fitness and Fights Cancer.
We have all lost family and friends to Cancer. Penny Milburn created this event to raise awareness and help fight Cancer.
Our mission is to fight all types of cancer by supporting our local and
national beneficiaries and to raise awareness, increase prevention, enhance wellness, and promote recovery. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY is key while PIE adds to the unique nature of the event and is a nice treat for the participants and volunteers.
Penny’s PIEATHLON is featured in event calendars locally such as Iowa Tourism, Greater Des Moines Visitors Bureau, Bike Iowa and nationally in BICYCLING MAGAZINE and RUNNER’S WORLD.
The PIE promotes wellness, area businesses, and Iowa trails.
